Creating an eBook
The Project: This project was one of my requirements to complete a course. The
subject matter was left up to individual choice. COVID changed the way some people worked. I had been doing research into working from home options so I decided this was a great opportunity to create an e-Book.

The Process: While researching for information about working from home, I ran across a report that showed a co-relationship between the decrease in the number of customers visiting a coffee shop and an increase in the amount of coffee bean sales. The conclusion was that since many workers were working from home and not able to go into coffee shops for their daily coffee, workers were buying more coffee beans to make their own favourite coffee at home.

User Research, Moodboard & Sketches
It was also noted that there was an increase in the purchase of specialty coffee makers. So I took that information and created an e-Book that presents itself as a book about coffee but has hidden messages and information about working from home.
As the reader progresses through the book,
they are getting information about coffee,
how it is grown, roasted and ground all the
while learning about working from home.

It was created and designed as a form of content marketing. The theme of coffee
was used to capture attention first, then as potential clients read through the book,
they would covertly get the guidelines for working from home.

Deliverables: The e-book is titled, ‘Thoughts in a Cup, Boosting Productivity and Wellness While Working from Home During COVID 19’. The underlying theme of the book is about coffee, where coffee comes from, the connection between coffee and work, and how to brew the perfect cup of coffee.
